about

This is the first song on the album contrasting animals with people. It uses mice, which are commonly used for experimentation. It attempts to convey the fact that there is an invisible world of animals observing our behavior.

lyrics

And I was born, a tiny animal
and I relate to some,
in Novosibirsk.
You move so slow,
and I am grey so no man sees me, as equal (at all)
And I relate to some
though you can't hear me call
the wooden doors they creak
(the murine models speak:
"Roquefort, Camembert...")
Isosceles, they board the plate,
An architecture,
Aggregate.

They're constant. They fade, but they're constant. They fade, but they're constant...

You can hear it in the beams, the silent scribes scratching out their speech.
They're made of fibers,
though they won't comfort you.
Calling in your sleep
that they will come for you.
The world of the small, and many, watch you move
through ovens,
in the hallway,
behind the fridge,
below the floorboards
feeling you breathe.
